Beautiful broadleaf trees delivered from the natural forests of Japan were dried for approximately six months, then carefully carved one by one by artisans in Odawara. The cutting tools used in the carving process are also handmade by the artisans, with no compromise made – every product contains the heart of its creator. The coating uses safe urethane coating, the same as used for school lunch bowls in Odawara. We named it “terra,” meaning “earth” in Italian, because of its earth-toned finish that makes the greens, yellows, and reds of vegetables stand out. Use it not only for everyday soups, but also as a salad bowl. This generously sized bowl enhances the appearance of dishes and complements Western-style cuisine. Please try it at your daily, abundant dining table. Even with the same shape, each set of three bowls is made from different wood, allowing you to feel the differences in the wood and find your own personal favorite.
