Product Introduction

■SPYR Mallet Line The SPYR series mallets were created through a collaboration between world-renowned percussionist, designer, and educator Kevin Shah and Tony Nunez. The SPYR series mallets are ideal for high school and college band directors who want to equip their ensembles with high-quality mallets.

Considering the head material, size, shape, shaft diameter, and length, they are designed to produce excellent sound in marching ensembles, orchestral ensembles, and school performances.

The SPYR series mallets are made using PROMARK's proprietary manufacturing process, ensuring durability and stability suitable for intense playing. The mallet core is formed in-house. They feature a thread-insert design that provides a higher contact with the shaft compared to traditional nail mallets. The string winding technology used in D'Addario strings is also applied to the mallets. The latest winding machines used in mallet production are computer-controlled, allowing precise adjustment of tension, angle, and layer of the winding around the mallet head. This detailed adjustment enables optimal, unique string winding for each mallet. As a result, the stability and durability of the mallets are significantly improved.

In the SPYR series, the hardness of the mallets is indicated by color coding on both the product and packaging, a first for this line. This color coding allows percussionists to quickly find the appropriate mallet from their bag.
