Fiber Units Meet a Variety of Needs
Semi-Mounted Screw Type
- Standard thread shape. Drill a hole in the bracket and attach with a nut. - The right-angle type allows the cable to be routed along the wall, reducing snagging.
Cylindrical Type
- Insertable into tight spaces (set screw mounting). - Ultra-compact φ1 x 10mm head for ultimate space-saving.
- Side-view type allows for installation in shallow areas.
Nut Type
- Easy installation: simply drill a hole in the bracket and tighten with a single nut. - The cable runs along the wall, eliminating the need for deep installation and reducing the risk of snagging.
- Lens-in Fiber Units feature a built-in lens and high power for stable detection. This is the new standard fiber recommended for stable detection. - No need to worry about the lens falling off or getting lost. - Flat through-beam types are also available.
Space-Saving Flat Type
- Slim design allows for installation in tight spaces. - Direct installation eliminates the need for dedicated mounting brackets.
Sleeve Type (Detects close to the object)
- Detection is possible from a distance from the mounting position, enabling stable detection of even small objects.
- Sleeve shape can be freely modified.
Strengthened Beam Small Spot Reflection (Small Object Detection)
- The small spot is ideal for detecting small objects. Select the optimal sensor based on the size of the object and installation distance. (See the catalog's "Reference Information for Determining Model.")
- A variable-spot lens unit is also available, allowing the spot diameter to be adjusted to match the workpiece size simply by adjusting the amount of removal and distance, eliminating the need for fiber replacement.
High Power (Long-Distance Installation/Dust-Resistant) - Maximum detection distance without a lens: 20m (E32-T17L) - Suitable for use with large objects and large equipment. - Power is highly resistant to dust and dirt.
Some products offer a long-range detection range simply by adding a lens.
Narrow Field of View (Detection Through Gap)
- The narrow beam eliminates false detection caused by reflections from surrounding objects.
Detection without detecting the background
- Stable detection of objects within the detection range without detecting the background (objects located beyond a certain distance). - Unaffected by the material or color of the object being detected.
Transparent Object Detection Retro-Reflective Type
- Retro-reflective types are ideal for transparent object detection. - Compared to through-beam types, the amount of light blocked is greater because the beam passes through the object twice.
- Excellent stability for detecting transparent film. (E32-LR11NP+E39-RP1) By using a unique filter to filter out unnecessary light, the amount of light blocked is dramatically increased, enabling stable detection of film.
Limited-Reflection Type (For Glass Detection)
- The limited-reflection optical system, in which the light-emitting and receiving axes intersect at the same angle, receives specular reflection from glass within the detection range, ensuring stable detection.
Environmental Resistance Chemical/Oil Resistance

Note: Results may vary depending on the concentration. Bending/Breakage Resistance
- Resistant to breakage even after 1 million repeated bends.
- Multiple independent thin strands provide excellent flexibility and are resistant to breakage even when used in moving parts.
- Stainless steel spiral tubing is available, which can be inserted into fiber optic cables to prevent breakage due to snagging or impact.
Heat Resistance
- Wide lineup ranging from 100°C to 350°C. - Select from the heat resistance temperature range.
Dedicated App Area Beam (Area Detection)
- Area beam is ideal for drop detection, where the passing position varies, meandering detection, and object detection without being affected by holes. - Digital output is linear with respect to the light blocking distance, making it ideal for meandering detection.
Liquid Level Detection
- Two types of liquid level detectors are available: pipe-mounted and wetted.
Pipe-mounted Type Detects the liquid level in a transparent pipe.
Used by attaching a band to the pipe.
Wetted Type Detects the liquid level by contacting the liquid.
Fluoropolymer coating provides excellent chemical resistance.
Vacuum-Resistant
- Can be used in high vacuums up to 10-5 Pa. - Heat-resistant types available for 120°C and 200°C.

- Glass Substrate Alignment Detection Position Accuracy: Less than 0.2 mm Detection position remains constant even with changes in distance.
