The IST is a thumb-operated trackball that offers an ergonomic shape that allows for comfortable operation and incredibly smooth operability. Its ergonomic design allows for a natural grip without gripping, and its shape fits comfortably in your hand, regardless of hand size or grip style.
The support unit uses high-performance bearings manufactured by MinebeaMitsumi. This reduces frictional resistance, resulting in a smooth ball control that feels as if it is floating in the air. In addition, because it does not rub against the ball surface, dust does not easily collect on the support unit, allowing for long-term maintenance-free use.
The support unit can be easily removed and replaced with a bearing or even an artificial ruby. *Replacement bearing unit (M-BS10) and artificial ruby unit (M-RS10) are sold separately.
The mouse is equipped with five buttons, including "forward" and "back" buttons that are convenient for using a web browser or folder operations. The button functions can be changed using the free downloadable "ELECOM Mouse Assistant."
