It may be that it warps when you use it and then it fits. The lid fits well on the thread, screws on and off is easy, can be screwed on well. Unfortunately, I can't answer whether it's all tight. I will be using this spirit stove with a wood gasifier as the spirit stove fits snugly in so can cook for emergencies whether there is a power outage or blackout.
