The M80's greatest features are its newly designed low-mass voice coil, ultra-thin Mylar diaphragm, and custom output transformer from AMI/TAB-Funkenwerk. This newly designed diaphragm efficiently converts the signal into an electrical signal without altering the tone lost with previous heavy diaphragms and voice coils. The AMI/TAB-Funkenwerk output transformer delivers the warmth and presence of classic analog audio. The proximity effect in the low frequencies is well controlled, making this an excellent microphone for recording vocals, drums, bass, and more.
