Bush Craft Oil Insert Candle 90 2.0, Brass, 90mm

This is a small oil lamp that runs on paraffin oil. It can be lit as is, or used as a candle substitute in a candle lantern. To light it, use a match or lighter, just like a candle. The ideal amount of wick exposed is 3-5mm. To extinguish, blow out the lamp or put the cap on. It is more economical than candles because it can be reused by simply refilling the lamp with fuel and replacing the wick. It comes with a small linen stuff sack that fits the oil insert candle snugly, making it convenient to carry. *Flame size is not consistent. It is affected by the amount of oil remaining; the flame size will be smaller if there is little oil. If the flame is too small even with sufficient oil, this may be improved by shortening the portion of the wick that is immersed in the oil (loosening the fibers). *If the lamp is tilted while filled with oil, the oil may bleed. *When filled with oil, the oil absorbed by the wick may bleed out, mainly from the exposed part of the wick. Please note that these are product specifications and not defects. Also, oil is sold separately. This product does not come with oil.
