You have the option of either drawing a fine line very lightly with the tip, or pressing a little harder and thereby drawing a slightly thicker line. The pen fits well in the hand. I didn't have any skin irritations after applying it. According to the manufacturer's description, the eyeliner is supposed to be waterproof. It is smudge-proof (video), but if you wipe harder under running water with a lot of pressure, the line can be removed again. But that requires a little more strength. Very, very weak. I have never had worse. It is not waterproof - it washes off with water without using any products. The color is not black, but some kind of gray. You can't get a clear line right away, as if the liquid had dried up. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Absolute crap.
