The T-72 was a main battle tank officially adopted by the Soviet Army in 1973. The T-72M was an export model of the T-72A, produced not only in the Soviet Union but also in Poland and Czechoslovakia.
The T-72M was the standard model of the T-72 tank series used outside the Soviet Union, and was equipped with this vehicle in more than 20 countries.
